As we begin ramping up for the dryer, warmer weather to come (hopefully, the last frost date here is April 9th) starting seeds has become a priority. A couple of weeks ago David and I got a new refrigerator from a friend (Thanks again Marybeth !) who is remodeling her kitchen. A few seeds were the only things left in the old fridge. For days David would ask if I had moved my seeds yet- nope, out of site= not on my list. Finally, yesterday I opened the fridge to find a great surprise! All of my apple seeds and triofoliate citrus that have been in simulated winter all year had taken the warmth as a sign to get themselves started. I've now turned the old fridge into a seed incubator and David has promised to build me some shelves inside to make the use of space a little more efficient. Brilliant!
